Will.i.am donates $500K to Prince Charles’ charity
The Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am donated a large sum of money to a charity organization run by Prince Charles. The 37-year-old rapper bestowed $780,000 to The Prince’s Trust, which provides the U.K.’s disadvantaged youth with education and training. The musician, who personally grew up in a tough neighborhood in East Los Angeles, said that his donation to the charity “will help these young people build skills that are vital in today’s and tomorrow’s job market including technology and computer knowledge.” Will.i.am, whose band made hits like “Where is the Love” and “I Got a Feeling,” is currently a judge on the British version of the singing competition “The Voice.”
