WASHINGTON, D.C. – One dead and another teen injured in a double shooting near Petworth metro

The Washington, D.C. police are currently investigating a double shooting in the Petworth neighborhood that left one man dead and a teenage boy injured on Tuesday night. Authorities responded to the area of Georgia Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue near the Petworth metro station just after 9:00 PM. When officers arrived on the scene, officers found two men, one adult and one teen, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The two men were taken to a nearby hospital, where the older adult male died from the injuries he sustained in the altercation. The condition of the teen has not been disclosed at this time. At this time, police are searching for a black Honda HR-V with Washington, D.C. tag JN9940, last seen traveling westbound on Quincy Street, Northwest.
