Rainy weather is set to return to the D.C. area on Monday, with cloudy skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms expected. High temperatures will reach the mid-80s, so keep your umbrella or rain jacket handy, as you’ll need them at times, according to 7News First Alert Meteorologist Brian van de Graaff. Temperatures will drop to the 70s in the evening, with isolated rain possible after 4 p.m. Although the risk of severe weather is low, it is not zero, says 7News Meteorologist Steve Rudin.
Tuesday through Thursday night will see mostly cloudy skies with thunderstorms dissipating around midnight. on Saturday. Ahead of the front, temperatures will gradually decline from the low 90s as clouds move in.
