In an update to an earlier story, the race for the Virginia senate seat has yet to be called, even though projections continue to favor Mark Warner (D) over Republican Ed Gillespie. Warner has 49 percent of the vote, and Gillespie 48 percent, according to WTOP. Virgnia laws allow a candidate to ask for a recount if the final vote is within one percent of an opponent. Warner gave a victory speech Tuesday evening, but Gillespie had still not conceded by Wednesday afternoon.
