VIRGINIA NEWS – Fire damages historic Virginia church before the holidays

A fire severely damaged St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Dec. 19 in Oak Grove, Virginia. The church was built in 1848 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

There were no reported injuries in the fire. Neighboring churches have opened their doors for upcoming Christmas services.
