Virginia government in discussion about refugee resettlement

Spokesman Brian Coy stated on behalf of Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe that the latter has asked his public safety and homeland security secretary to ensure that the screening process for Syrian refugees would be intensive to guarantee the safety of all Virginians, and that refugee resettlements would be discussed. This comes after criticism from many Republicans of the refugees of last Friday’s series of bombings and shootings in Paris, in which some Syrian refugees were believed to have participated in.
