VIRGINIA – 3-year-old boy accidentally shot

Officials announced in a news release that a 3-year-old boy was accidentally shot at a home in Suffolk on Wednesday. The boy was quickly flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after police emergency responders arrived. The 3-year-old did not appear to sustain life-threatening injuries. Police have not yet indicated whether the boy shot himself, or was shot by someone else. The investigation is ongoing.
