Congress has been under pressure to respond to the thousands of children all across the border on their own and ending up in the D.C. area. Some of the children stood in front of the White House on Monday, demanding the president to fulfill his campaign promise, but the administration says most of the children will end up being deported. More than 52,000 children have come into the county over the last nine months. Most of these children are in hopes of reconnecting with their parents and family who have already crossed the boarder. The White House is saying most of the unaccompanied children will end up being deported. Most of the children will not have a legal basis, and will not be found the court process to have a legal basis to remain in the country. President Obama is now asking congress for another $2 billion for enforcement at the border. He is also planning to speed up deportations of immigrant children.
