Thousands without electricity in D.C.

2,200 customers in the D.C. area are without electricity as of Wednesday morning. More than 3,300 outages were initially reported in the Northeast area near the Capitol. The power outages range from the Northeast D.C. limits and south, almost to the Capitol Building. Pepco is investigating the situation and the cause of the outages remains unclear.
