Sandusky insists he is innocent
Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky denied that he was a pedophile in a Monday night NBC interview, saying he was innocent of the sexual abuse charges. Sandusky claims he was falsely accused, saying the only thing he did wrong was that he “showered with those kids” and “horsed around.” Sandusky’s lawyer, Joe Amendola, said that showering does not atumatically equate to sexual assault. Others, such as CNN’s Sunny Hostin, attested that Sandusky’s admissions proved his guilt.
“It’s such a classic fact pattern for him to admit that he showered with these children and horsed around and confessed to touching them. In my mind, that’s already misdemeanor child sex abuse.” Sandusky said that head coach Joe Paterno never discussed his behavior with him. The allegations led to the firing of Paterno and other school officials because of their improper notification of authorities when the accusations surfaced.
