Police investigate abuse in fire station

D.C. police are investigating a claim that a female fire fighter was sexually abused inside of the M Street firehouse on May 31st.

Although police have not identified any suspects, the fire department has placed four fighters on desk duty with no contact with the public due to the accusation. Two of the firefighters are under investigation while the other two are supervisors.

The victim remains on duty in the firehouse. The union’s president called for a fair and thorough investigation of the accusation.
