PayPal creating buying system for outer space

PayPal announced on Thursday its plans to create a system for inter-planetary payments. PayPal decided to set up the system after other companies such as Space X and Virgin Galactic move closer to setting up a way to travel from Earth to Mars. David Marcus, the president of PayPal said, “We don’t have all the answers right now, but it’s clear we won’t be using cash when we’re in space.”

Marcus says, “We feel it’s time now — not next year, not when [space tourism] starts to happen — to start figuring out what this looks like.” The system will be launched at a press conference on Thursday. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin will be featured at the event.
