The National Zoo announced via Twitter on Tuesday that the panda cub Bei Bei will be making his public debut on January 16 of next year. Bei Bei, who was born on August 22, is the third surviving offspring of giant pandas Tian Tian and Mei Xiang, both of whom live in the National Zoo along with their first offspring, Bao Bao. Members will be able to get an early glimpse of the cub on January 8.
