Occupy Wall Street movement hampered by rain

Rain Wednesday put a damper on Wall Street protesters. The number of people shrank somewhat as others covered themselves in plastic tarps. Police patrolled Zuccotti Park where many demonstrators were located, ensuring that people were not erecting structures, illegal without a permit. In spite of the weather, the group continued to post streaming video of the area while maintaining their website and twitter feed.

The Occupy Wall Street movement has continued to gain momentum with the support of similar movements around the country and some union backing. Tuesday some of them staged a demonstration, marching to the Upper East Side past the homes of upper class residents.
