NATIONAL NEWS – Supreme Court ruling allows Trump administration to proceed with federal layoff plans.

The U.S. Supreme Court has lifted a lower-court block, allowing the Trump administration to begin mass layoffs and restructuring efforts across 19 federal agencies, including the State Department and Social Security Administration. The decision does not determine the legality of the firings but permits the plans to move forward while ongoing litigation continues. 

The administration had faced legal challenges for proceeding without consulting Congress, but the Court’s ruling clears the way for thousands of potential federal job cuts.
