Mike Tyson heads to Broadway

Former boxer Mike Tyson announced Monday that he will be doing a one-man show on Broadway. The man who once bit off a bit of his opponent’s ear during a fight is teaming up with director Spike Lee to produce a show that will illustrate the 46-year-old’s infamous life. “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” will include tales about his heated relationship with actress-model Robin Givens, his time in prison, his relationship with his trainer and surrogate father, Cus D’Amato, and the time he spent in a psychiatric clinic as a result of his addiction to cocaine.

Tyson, who was the youngest-ever heavyweight champion in 1986, and Lee, who directed films “Do the Right Thing” and “Malcolm X,” will start working on the show in July. “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” will be at the Longacre Theatre for six nights only, July 31 to Aug. 5. Tickets for Tyson’s show are priced at $75 to $199, with VIP tickets going for $300.
