Medal of Freedom Awardees announced

The White House has announced the 19 upcoming recipients of the Medal of Freedom later this month. The list includes lawmakers, musicians, actors, journalists, scientists and activists. Actress Meryl Streep, musician Stevie Wonder, activist Ethel Kennedy, news anchor Tom Brokaw and Native American activist Suzan Harjo are just some of the honorees. Five posthumous awards will also be given at the ceremony on November 24.
