MARYLAND NEWS – Former lawmaker Doug J.J. Peters dies at age 60

Former Democratic state senator Doug J.J. Peters died at age 60 from complications with multiple myeloma. He served four terms in the Senate beginning in 2006 until he resigned in 2021. 

“He was a tremendous public servant, and a remarkable businessman,” said the Peters family in a statement. “More than anything, he was our rock, our north star.”
