Jeb Bush defends same sex marriage

Back in 1994, Jeb Bush argued that gay men and lesbians did not deserve special legal protection. Twenty-one years later, Bush says that people should accept legalization of same-sex marriage and show them respect. In recent presidential cycles, Republican candidates have expressed conservative viewpoints that marriage should be between a man and a woman. A large majority of potential candidates have openly stated that they oppose same sex-sex marriage, but would rather focus on other pressing issues. The Supreme Court could legalize same-sex marriage as early as this summer.
