Flavor Flav ceremony conflicts with court date
Flavor Flav’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with rap group Public Enemy conflicts with a scheduled court date in Las Vegas. The former rapper is due for indictment on Thursday for felony charges associated with chasing his girlfriend’s son with a butcher knife during an argument.
The Hall of Fame’s induction ceremony is also taking place on Thursday. Flavor Flav’s defense attorney has asked the judge for a different indictment date. The 54-year-old, whose legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., faces charges of assault with a weapon, child endangerment, and a misdemeanor for domestic battery.
Drayton will plead not guilty to all charges.
