Fire lieutenant faces disciplinary board

District of Columbia Fire Lieutenant Kellene Davis, who was in charge of a station when no one went to help a dying man across the street, will be going in front a trial board. On January 25, Medric Cecil Mills Jr. went into cardiac arrest in a parking lot across from the station. Reports claim there were five firefighters inside the station aware that someone needed help, but none provided any aid. Eventually a police officer flagged down a passing ambulance, but Mills died at the hospital. Facing possible discipline for her role in the incident, Davis is set to appear at an internal hearing Wednesday. The department claims she did not respond when she became aware that people were approaching the station requesting help.
