Fatal shooting in Brightwood neighborhood

A 31-year-old man was shot and killed in the Brightwood neighborhood over the weekend.

According to District of Columbia police, the body of Demetrius Eccles was found Saturday around 9 p.m. in the 900 block of Sheridan Street, Northwest.

Neither a suspect nor a motive has been released regarding the incident.
