ENTERTAINMENT NEWS- Beloved “Cosby Show” star, Malcolm-Jamal Warner dies at 54 in drowning accident

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the beloved alum of the sitcom “The Cosby Show”, died at 54, drowning during a family trip in Costa Rica. Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Department shared that Warner drowned Sunday afternoon on a beach on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. While swimming, a current pulled him deeper into the ocean causing the fatal accident. Warner, best known for his phenomenal role as Bill Cosby’s son, Theo Huxtable, on “The Cosby Show”, went on to act for 40 years post his role on the famous show. The Emmy-nominated actor and director starred in other television shows like “Malcolm & Eddie” and “Reed Between the Lines”. Warner also continued appearing on televisions screens in several features of “All That”, “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” with his latest “911″ and “Alert: Missing Persons Unit”.
In June of 2024, Warner released a podcast, “Not All Hood” with co-hosts Weusi Baraka and Candace Kelley. Warner created many TV moments, making him a principal representation of the American black teenager, earning him an Emmy nomination for supporting actor in a comedy in 1986. Warner was married with a young daughter but chose not to publicly disclose their names.
