Drone crashes near White House

A drone that crashed on the Ellipse was confiscated early Friday by Park Police, making this the ninth incident that an unmanned aircraft has been illegally operated in the Greater Washington area this year. Airspace in downtown Washington is the most restricted in the United States for both passenger and unmanned aircraft. A citation has been issued to Howard Solomon III of Washington, D.C.
