DC man enters plea for attacking 9-year-old girl

A District of Columbia man has entered a plea for the attack of a 9-year-old girl. He faces up to five years in prison.

Demetrick Littlejohn accosted the child after she left a store with her godmother last month. Littlejohn whispered in the girl’s ear that he wanted to have sex with her and proceeded to engage in sexual contact with her.

He told police he was high on PCP and did not remember what happened.

On Friday, Littlejohn entered into an Alford plea, which means that he has not admitted guilt, but understands that there is enough evidence for a conviction.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 18.
