Cheetah cubs born at National Zoo

A litter of three cheetah cubs were born at the National Zoo on October 16 to a South African cheetah named Sanurra. “Mom and the babies are all doing very well,” says Adrienne Crosier, a biologist with the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute. However, scientists have not had an opportunity to weigh and determine the gender of the cubs yet, as they do not want to disturb Sanurra.
