Burglars alert police about man in possession of child porn
A central California man has been arrested, following a tip from burglars that he was in possession of child pornography. A 19-year-old and a juvenile broke into the barn of Kraig Stockard and stole 50 CDs they thought were blank. Stockard filed a police report of the incident. When the burglars put the discs into their computer to use, they discovered some of them contained child pornography, and decided to alert the police.
Authorities obtained a search warrant and found thousands of images and movies of child pornography on Stockard’s computers and external hard drives. Stockard was charged with child porn possession and booked. The two burglar suspects have not been arrested, as the Sheriff’s Department considered their crime “the lesser of two evils.”
