Arlington residents can recycle trees, get free mulch

Arlington residents can put Christmas trees out for recycling next week. From January 5 to 16, coniferous trees out of stands, without ornaments, lights or other decorations, placed on the curb by 6:00 a.m. on trash day will be collected. Those without curbside pickup can call (703) 228-6570 to schedule an appointment. Trees can also be brought to the Solid Waste Bureau along with proof of residence. The trees will be turned into mulch, which will be available free to Arlington residents.
