Washington, DC – DC Bicyclist killed in hit and run

Police say a bicyclist was killed early Thursday in a hit and run in Southeast D.C. The D.C. police say they were called near the 2700 block of Minnesota Avenue, where the cyclist was struck, just after 1 a.m. They said the cyclist died of their injuries shortly after 8. Police have not released any information about the cyclist’s identity, or the names of any suspects. The area had been closed to traffic by police, but has since been reopened.
