Capitals to open season on historic anniversary

The Washington Capitals will play their first game of the regular NHL season tonight at 7 p.m. EST against the Montreal Canadiens. The home opener will be broadcast on Comcast Sports Net. Tonight’s game is on the 40th anniversary of the Capital’s first game. Montreal’s first game of the season was Wednesday, a 4-3 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
