WORLD NEWS – Russia kills 12 in air strikes in Kyiv inciting criticism from Trump: “Vladimir Stop”

Russia attacked Ukraine with an hour-long barrage of missile and drone attacks on Thursday, killing at least 12 people. This is the deadliest assault on Kyiv since last July. This drew a rare criticism of Russian leader Vladimir Putin from U.S. President Donald Trump. This attack lasted for almost 11 hours, with many having to stay awake all night with loud explosions reverberating around the city, with flashes of light sparking up the sky. Many families gathered in air-raid shelters at around 1:00 am and were hit by at least five air raids in heavily damaged multiple residential buildings. The attacks left 12 people dead and over 90 injured. 

On Truth Social, Trump harshly admonished Putin writing, “I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Let’s get the Peace Deal DONE!”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he would be cutting his official trip to South Africa short to return home as the city reels from the bombardment. This attack appears to be the deadliest and largest attack on Kyiv in nine months, and Zelenskyy called it one of Russia’s most outrageous attacks.
