WORLD NEWS – Pope Francis remains in critical condition with slight improvement

Pope Francis has remained in critical condition all weekend but Monday showed some slight signs of improvement Additionally, positive laboratory test results allowed him to resume some work according to the Vatican. He was able to call a parish in Gaza City. He has been consistent in his communication with Gaza since the war began there. The Vatican’s bulletin in the evening has become more upbeat however as the 88-year-old leader of the catholic faith continues to battle pneumonia in both lungs those all over the world are praying for his healthy recovery. The Pope is being treated in Rome’s Gemelli hospital. It was issued only a short time before the Vatican’s No. 2 led a night-time recitation of the Rosary prayer in St.Peter’s Square that seemed reminiscent of the vigils that took place when St.John Paul II was dying. Cardinal Pietro Parolin spoke to those at Piazza saying, “For 2,000 years the Christian people have prayed for the pope when he was in danger or sick.” Parolin spoke from the same spot where Pope Francis typically speaks. Ever since Francis’ hospitalization numerous prayers for his recovery have come from all over the world.
