Suspect in kidnapping comes forward denying charges

A man who allegedly held a man at gunpoint on Metro’s Green Line on December 20 has come forward denying the allegations.

Timothy Williams reportedly came forward after seeing a “wanted” flyer on Twitter displaying his name along with a photo from Metro surveillance.

Williams is accused of forcing a man to ride the Metro from Naylor Road to Prince George’s County to Southwest Washington D.C. by threatening him with a concealed firearm and forcing him to withdrawal money from several ATMs.

Williams contests that he is not the man pictured in the surveillance photograph.
