Supreme Court Justice robbed at machete-point
A Supreme Court spokesperson reported to CBS News on Monday, Justice Stephen Breyer was robbed by a machete-wielding intruder at his vacation home last week in the West Indies. The judge owns a home on the Caribbean island of Nevis. Breyer, 73, was with his wife, Joanna, and two other guests on Thursday evening when they were confronted by an intruder around 9 p.m. EST.
The intruder took about $1,000 in cash and fortunately, no one was hurt. Local authorities were contacted, but there have been no reports of an arrest. The U.S. Marshals Service is also helping to unravel the investigation.
