Sixth suspect arrested in case of missing police officer found dead
Police have made another arrest in the disappearance and death of a missing reserve police officer from Rockfish, Virginia. According to Virginia State Police, Anthony L. White, 22, of Mineral, Va., was taken into custody without incident in Louisa County and charged with one felony count of gang participation.
White is the sixth suspect charged in the case of Kevin Wayne Quick, 45, who went missing a week ago and whose remains were found Thursday in a remote area in Goochland County. Quick’s remains were confirmed late Friday, but the cause of death has not been released yet.
Three others were arrested Thursday night and charged Friday with a felony count of gang participation and what police are calling a charge of “principle in second degree to the crime of murder.” Two siblings were arrested Tuesday night and charged with grand larceny for the theft of Quick’s sliver 1999 Toyota 4Runner.
Quick was last seen on January 31 leaving his mother’s home around 10:19 p.m. He was expected to visit his girlfriend 20 miles away but never made it and was reported missing the next day.
