Police investigate shooting near Montgomery County

Police are investigating whether a report of shots fired near an elementary school and a shooting victim found at an emergency clinic are connected.

On Monday, just before 5 p.m., shots were fired near Stedwick Elementary School in Montgomery Village. Not long after the shooting occurred, a victim suffering from gunshots wounds was taken to the Germantown Emergency Care Center by a private car.

According to police reports, the victim was in serious condition.
