Paula Deen a no-show on Friday’s ‘Today’

Celebrity cook Paula Deen did not show up on Friday’s “Today” show to answer questions about using racial slurs in the past.

Host Matt Lauer stated he had spoken with Deen on Thursday to arrange an exclusive and live appearance. However, shortly after the show began on Friday, a representative told Lauer that Deen would be pulling out of the interview.

When questioned last month for a discrimination lawsuit, the 66-year-old admitted to using racial slurs in the past. Afterwards, she insisted that she and her family do not tolerate any sort of racism.
