Parents of inmate who has cancer seek clemency

Brenda Kirby and Charles Davis have requested a medical clemency release for their son, Jason Scott Davis, 35, who is serving a two-year and one-month sentence at Powhatan Correctional Center. Brenda Kirby claims her 6-foot1-inch tall son weighs only 90 pounds, who is bedridden, wants to be with his parents. The governor is the only person who can grant medical clemency for a state inmate. The secretary of the commonwealth’s office has received the clemency request and will be evaluating it and make a recommendation to the governor.
