Octomom charged with welfare fraud

Nadya Suleman, 38, also known as “Octomom”, has done porn films, boxed celebrities, and even endorsed birth control for dogs after giving birth to eight babies in 2009 via in vitro fertility treatments.  However, on Monday, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office announced that the Octomom, who is now the mother of 14 children, had been charged with three counts of welfare fraud.

Suleman failed to report $30,000 she earned while collecting public assistance money and was charged on January 6 but not taken into custody. She was later ordered to appear in court on Friday, while prosecutors plan on asking $25,000 for her bail. If she is convicted, Suleman can face up to six years in prison.
