NATIONAL NEWS – Nationwide ‘Rage Against the Regime’ Protests Set for August 2
The 50501 Movement is organizing a nationwide protest dubbed “Rage Against the Regime” on August 2, with a D.C.-area rally set for the Patrick Henry Library in Vienna, VA. The protest, described as peaceful but defiant, follows June’s “No Kings Day” demonstrations, which drew over five million participants nationwide.
Organizers cite opposition to the Trump administration’s policies on civil liberties, immigration, transgender rights, and federal programs as core motivations. Backed by groups like Voices of Florida and Public Citizen, the protest will feature signs, speeches, and community-led action rooted in nonviolent resistance.
The August 2 event continues a growing wave of activism invoking civil rights-era principles to push back against what organizers call “authoritarian, tyrannical, and racist rule.”
