NATIONAL NEWS – Dow closes above 38000 for the first time

The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished above 38000 on Monday for the first time in history. The Federal Reserve has said that they are working to lower interest rates as they reached 3.4 in December. 

“Inflation has eased from its highs and this has come without the significant increase in unemployment. That’s very good news,” said Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. “But inflation is too high, ongoing progress in bringing it down is not assured, and the path is uncertain.”
