Marriage licenses will soon be available to same-sex couples in MD
Same-sex couples in Maryland will soon see the affects of the voter approved same-sex marriage legislation. Once Gov. Martin O’Malley formally declares the results of the Nov. 6 election, couples will be able to obtain official marriage licenses from the state, although they will not become effective until Jan. 1st.
Maryland was one of three states to approve same-sex marriage by voter referendum this past election.
