Man sentenced for 2 sexual assaults

A D.C. man, who has pleaded guilty to two sexual assaults, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison. According to evidence, 39-year-old Antony Lamont Burns grabbed a 14-year-old girl walking in northwest. Burns put a knife to her chest, and forced her into his car. Burns then sexually assaulted her.

Burns’s first sexual assault took place in 2006, when DNA testing proved he was involved in the rape of a woman behind a building in northwest.

Burns was sentenced last week in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
