Man attacked same-sex couple from West Point

New York police arrested a man who randomly attacked a same-sex couple who happened to be the first two men to be married at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The couple, Daniel and Larry Lennox-Choate, was shopping in a Soho grocery store in New York City when a man started to shout homophobic slurs at them. The man struck Daniel Lennox-Choate, who defended himself using his training as a West Point cadet. The man was charged with assault as a hate crime and attempted assault as a hate crime.
