Lane reopens after water main break

A water main break caused several southbound lanes to be closed Tuesday morning.

One southbound lane on Connecticut Avenue has since reopened after the 12-inch pipe burst after midnight in Northwest between M and N streets.  Lanes were closed in both directions, but the northbound lanes had reopened by 5 a.m.

According to officials, four commercial buildings were left with no water supply.

There are no clear reports as to when water will be completely restored in the area.
