Jury selection begins for Zimmerman trial
Jury selection for the case of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who killed Trayvon Martin, began in Seminole County, Florida on Monday. Zimmerman is facing a charge of second-degree murder. He has pled not guilty.
Trayvon Martin was shot and killed in February 2012, starting a national discussion about gun laws in the United States. Charges were not immediately filed against Zimmerman, resulting in the removal of the town police chief and the selection of a new prosecutor.
