IRS also examined liberal groups

The IRS screened liberal groups and conservative groups applying for tax exempt status according to a document revealed on Monday. The document contained some of the terms used to identify whether or not a group needed to be screened further. Some of the words included “Israel,” “Occupy” and “Progressive.”

According to the document obtained by the Associated Press, the IRS screening of these groups has lasted longer than previously believed. The lists released were dated between August 2010 and April 2013.
