‘Girls Gone Wild’ founder convicted
“Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis was found guilty on Monday of misdemeanor counts of assault and false imprisonment based on a dispute with three women at a Hollywood club. The 40-year-old was convicted of three counts of false imprisonment and one count of misleading a witness.
Francis met three women at the Supper Club in 2011 who he took to his home and tried to separate from one another. A dispute broke out, resulting in Francis grabbing one of the women by the hair and slamming her head into the floor.
Francis faces a maximum of 5 years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday.
