Dole CEO offers to buyout company
David Murdock, Dole Food’s Chairman and CEO, is making an offer to buy the company for approximately $1.07 billion. Murdock and members of his family are offering to pay $12 for any share of the company they don’t already own. Murdock already owns 39.5 percent of the company.
The board is currently making an assessment of the offer. Board members will assemble a committee of independent administrators to examine it.
