D.C. police officer’s release stayed for 24 hours

The release of a District of Columbia police officer has been stayed by a judge for 24 hours.

Judge John Facciola released the officer, Marc Washington, to his home pending trial, complete with electronic monitoring.

Washington, 32, was arrested for producing child pornography after a missing teenage girl said he took naked pictures of her.

According to police, Washington is now on suspension without pay.
